A LETTER FROM THE FOUNDERS GALINA & DAN WITTING

It all started in a kitchen - and a little bit of wool.

Dear Friends,

Twelve years ago, Baabuk began with a simple idea: to reimagine an ancient wool shoe and bring it into today’s world. From hand-felting our first slippers in the kitchen to building our own workshop in Nepal and becoming a certified B-Corp, every step of this journey was possible thanks to you.

It hasn’t always been easy. We’ve learned, grown, and stayed true to our values of comfort, courage, and community. And through it all, your trust and encouragement have carried us forward.

Now, as we look to the future, we want to take the next step — together. For the first time, we are opening Baabuk to our community through crowdinvesting. It’s a way for you, our customers and friends, to become co-owners of Baabuk. To not only wear our shoes, but to walk with us as partners in shaping what comes next.

This is not just about growing a company. It’s about proving that comfort, courage, and community can build something lasting. That we can continue to innovate responsibly, support artisans, and keep making products that you love — while staying true to our values.

We invite you to join us in this new adventure. To take pride not only in owning a pair of Baabuks, but in owning a piece of Baabuk itself.

Thank you for being with us on this journey. Let’s continue to grow together.

With gratitude,
