Care FAQ

Both! Wool is an insulating and regulating material, so it will protect your feet from the cold in the winter, and keep them cool in the summer. So you can enjoy your pair of Baabuk at all times of the year.

Baabuk sneakers & shoes are conveniently machine washable. We recommend using a wool detergent and the preset "wool", or washing at 30° C / 90° F on a gentle cycle. Insoles can be removed during washing. And make sure to air dry - do not use the dryer.

Wool is naturally water repellent, thanks to the natural waxy coating on its fibres. This means stains and spills will be less likely to affect the fabric. But do note, they aren’t completely waterproof, so will be less effective in heavier rain or deep puddles.

If your Baabuk sneakers have gotten wet, simply remove them, and dry at room temperature. Avoid putting them in a dryer. Wool doesn’t get damaged by water and won’t shrink, as the raw material has already been washed and felted – so don’t worry.
